Jane called our April 21 online meeting to order and as always we sang a rousing rendition of "Oh What a Beautiful Morning." Our timing is a little off in spite of the beautiful recorded accompaniment by our own Mary Sallee. Something about all of that running through broadband and cell service to our computers, tablets, and phones makes it even more fun!
One of our newest members, April Heiple shared information about the many services Food and Shelter agency are providing to the large increase in people who recently became unemployed due to the pandemic. Food and Shelter is a partner agency to United Way of Norman--a part of the network of Norman social service orgs to help the homeless, those who need food, those who need help to stay in their homes. Thanks April and your staff of 8 doing double duty during this time of an international health and economic crisis.
