Joe GIll from Crosstimbers club introduced Patricia Ingram and Travis Humphrey to provide an overview of their agencies so club members could vote which would receive Le Tour De Vin proceeds next year.

Ingram said Full Circle Adult Day Center in Norman is the only such center south of OKC in Oklahoma, and only one of 30 statewide.  In the last four years their enrollment has doubled as more of the population is aging and Alzheimer, dementia, brain injuries, and disabilities affect more adults.  The center is licensed to serve 60 but space limits them to 47. They are raising funds to buy a new center with 6100 square feet at the Franklin Center closer to I-35.  Contributions from LTDV would go towards paying off the mortgage on a new building so they can invest more in program and workers.

Ingram showed video testimonials from caregivers describing the support they receive from Full Circle Adult Day Center and how it improves the quality of life for their family members.

Humphrey described the mission of the Bethesda agency in Norman is to heal the trauma of child sexual abuse through treatment, education and prevention. The agency supports the victims and their family network. Donations from LTDVwould go to the Bethesda Capital Campaign Project to build a new facility.

Bethesda board member Mike Snowden shared his family's personal story and the help they received from Bethesda when learning his son was abused by a member of his church.  He noted that one in four girls, and one in six boys in the U.S. will be sexually abused before their 18th birthday.

Club members submitted their ballots, voting for one of these two very deserving agencies, to be the recipient of LTDV proceeds in 2018. Those votes will be combined with those of members of the other two Norman clubs and the result announced at this year's LTDV.
