(1.5 years handling death penalty trials, 8 years an Appellate Public Defender handling various criminal appeals, and 6.5 years as an Appellate Public Defender handling murder & death penalty appeals)

Married 36.5 years to David Sanders. They have a 24 year old daughter, Rachael Sanders Dickens, who lives in Hawaii with her Husband, Eli, who serves in the Navy

Virginia enjoys traveling, playing bridge, dominoes, and other games, watching sports especially the Oklahoma Sooners, & spending time with their 3 rescue dogs. She is an active member of First Baptist Church of Noble where she helps on several cooking teams, helps with the Youth, and is involved with Women on Missions. Her faith is very important to her & she believes strongly in the power of prayer. (If you ever need prayer for something, Virginia would be more than happy to pray for you.)
