Join us as the staff from Scratch provide information on the art of mixology! Tips will be accepted via Venmo. Zoom link will be emailed out as the event nears.

Spend time meeting Johathan Winders, where he's from, how he got here, who came with him, what he does in his spare time, etc.  Have plenty of questions ready, this is an interactive program designed to get more aquainted with fellow Sooner Rotarians.

Our  next Lunch Buddies will be next Thursday, January 21, at 11:45 AM at Gaberino's on Ed Noble Parkway just south of BJ's.

Weather permitting, we will be on the patio. Otherwise we will be in the far north room.

Spouses, family, friends, co-workers, prospective members, and former members are invited and encouraged to be there.

Sara King is the Community Health Education and Planning Lead for Cleveland, Grady, Hughes, McClain, Pottawatomie, and Seminole county health departments. She wears many hats, one of which includes being the Public Information Office during the COVID-19 response. She has a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and her Master of Public Health. Both of her degrees come from the University of Oklahoma and her birth certificate from Norman Regional hospital, so when she says she’s sooner born and sooner bred- she means it."

The top 10 seminal events in Norman's growth and development

Andy Rieger is a Norman native whose great grandfather helped build the railroad through Oklahoma and then participated in the land run in 1889. He is a graduate of Norman High, and earned a bachelors degree in journalism and a masters of public administration from the University of Oklahoma. He is a part-time, adjunct instructor in the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

He worked in journalism in Oklahoma or journalism education in central Oklahoma for more than 40 years and retired as executive editor of The Norman Transcript in 2015. Besides teaching part-time and continuing to write a Sunday newspaper column in The Transcript, he works as a Realtor and helps with his family's investments.

He and his wife, Karen, have three children and two grandsons.

Local Legal Initiative Attorney - Oklahoma

The Rotary Foundation Chair - Phil Moss will present information on our foundation as well as recognize clubs and Rotarians for support of the foundation.

Archie is a charter member of the Cross Timbers Rotary club. He’s been the president of the Wewoka and Cross Timbers Rotary clubs. I know he was also a member of the Tecumseh Rotary club.

He immigrated to the US from the Philippines in 1981 and became a US citizen in 1996.

He worked as a MD with the Indian clinic in Wewoka and retired from that position. These days, he and I walk at the Sooner Mall most mornings.

Lynn Christophersen - will speak on the topic of the Pardon and Parole Process in Oklahoma, using her personal experience as a framework to illustrate the process.

Prof Lindsay Robertson - joined the law faculty in 1997. He teaches courses in Federal Indian Law, Comparative and International Indigenous Peoples Law, Constitutional Law and Legal History and serves as Faculty Director of the Center for the Study of American Indian Law and Policy and Founding Director of the International Human Rights Law Clinic.
